Over recent years, members of Mearns History Group have produced videos about topics of local interest. Two of these are available to view below.

Peter Pan at Mearnskirk

The bronze statue of Peter Pan was created by Alexander Proudfoot and unveiled in 1949 in the grounds of Mearnskirk Hospital in memory of Dr John Wilson, the first medical superintendent of the hospital. The statue still stands in front of the Mearnskirk Home on the original hospital site.

Graveyard Project

In 2008, with the assistance of a Lottery Grant, a small team of local people undertook to record every gravestone within Mearns Kirk graveyard and, wherever possible to include references and notes on the Mearns families commemorated there.
